Only a pro for me, but I got this monitor at $60 off thanks to Best Buys 50th anniversary sale!!! Headphone out on the side that I didn't realize before purchase. Minimal glow in dark pictures, and and plenty of contrast for computer and gaming. Good preset picture modes I prefer multimedia for computer use (fairly accurate colors), gaming for gaming, and paper actually does help for late night use.

Auto sleeps upon computer/console shut down. Monitor looks great aesthetically, obviously it's not completely borderless though.

Motion handling also looks better, which I account to either a better pixel response time or just because of the smaller screen so less eye movement to create perceived blur. Gaming, especially for fps, feels and looks much better on this monitor than it does on my 50' Sony 4k tv. With a tested input lag under 5ms and a glossy screen to boot, I found the monitor I wanted. FYI input lag is the actual value you want to look at for gaming, not pixel response. After much googling I found a review for this specific monitor on (great site) that did actual testing for things like input lag. Furthermore my want for a glossy screen further complicated my search. Works well for gaming Wanted a monitor to plug my Xbox into because I read up on how much better response is on monitors, but also wanted a monitor for use with my newly built computer so I didn't want to sacrifice picture quality and get a TN monitor. Glossy screen wanted one for the better colors and colors look great indeed. It's quality is good enough to work with graphics, video, and images and for $200 you can't beat it. I would recommend this monitor to anyone. It's big enough for anytype of work and it still fits on a desk well. I chose quality over size and I couldn't be happy because I ended up really enjoying the screen size. Apple displays have beautiful quality and I knew I couldn't get that quality with another monitor, but Dell came close this time. Since I'm used to Apple products and surrounded by iMacs at school, my standards for a monitor were high. Even though the screen size is smaller, the glossy screen of the dell is much more crisper than the matte Asus screen. I stared at the monitors for a while and the Dell monitors caught my eye. I was looking at a 27 inch Asus monitor because of the size and price but I wasn't impressed with the image quality. I love apple products but I didn't want to spend $1000 on an apple display. While the screen is beautiful, it's small for extended use. I'm a graphic design student and I usually do all of my work on a 15 in Macbook Pro retina screen. If you want an IPS monitor with good image quality, is wall mountable, has low input lag, has an HDMI input for a gaming console, and you're okay with a glossy screen, I'd recommend this one. The S2415H maxes out at 60Hz.Дespite those minor negatives, I'm very pleased with my purchase, especially because I bought it on sale. Third, this may not matter to most people, but for those who like to 'overclock' their monitor, you can't. I would have preferred that second input be DVI or DisplayPort instead of VGA. Secondly, of the two inputs, one is HDMI and the other is VGA. It doesn't really bother me, but I thought it was worth mentioning. Firstly, it does have an external power supply (power brick). I use them occasionally with my Xbox when I don't want to put on headphones. I think they're actually good for a monitor, but don't expect them to compare to desktop speakers. It does have an overdrive mode so you can switch between a 'normal' response rate and 'fast.'

I do think it's to be expected because of the 6 ms G2G response time, 60Hz refresh rate, and it's an IPS monitor. I do notice some blur occasionally, but it's not bad. An online reviewer measured it at 4.8 ms. There is a little bit of light bleed in the corners, but no more than I would expect from an LCD monitor. Thanks to the glossy screen, colors are vibrant and accurate, and the viewing angle is great. I am very pleased with the image quality. The screen does have a glossy finish, so if you're going to be sitting near a window with the monitors facing the window you probably should consider a monitor with a matte finish instead. I regularly switch between have dual monitors for my PC to having on screen for the PC and the other for the Xbox. It looks amazing thanks to the thin bezels. I actually bought two of these and mounted them to the wall side-by-side. I specifically bought this because it has an IPS panel, is wall mountable (VESA 100 x 100), and has two inputs, one of which being an HDMI input for my Xbox One. I think this is a great monitor if you're looking for an IPS monitor that's affordable.
